Our third and last visit was at the Breidagersdisskóli School.
Like the other two, this (public) school determined the contents to be studied and even negotiated them with the family.
One thing that really caught our attention was the system for acquiring the teaching staff that they use, since there are no competitive examinations, but rather an interview with the center's management is enough, a report that they prepare and, if it is well argued, the ministry gives approval.
The second school that we visited was Vidistadaskoli. We were received by the management team who treated us wonderfully throughout the visit, just like the teachers.
We were able to see some fantastic facilities, big spaces and a diferent kind of school. We could know that every teacher, every school, selects what is gona be studied and how.
In the afternoon we move to the Thjódminjasafn Islands (National Museum) with the second field learning: The making of the Icelandic nation and its history.
